Elbofeh: Free Office Pantry App for Companies in the Gulf and Egypt

Elbofeh team·Updated

Elbofeh (البوفيه) is a free mobile app that runs the office pantry. Instead of calling the office boy or shouting across the floor, employees order tea, coffee and snacks from the company's pantry menu on their own phones. The office boy — or tea boy, or pantry attendant — receives every order on his phone with the employee's note and desk location, delivers it, and the price comes off that employee's wallet automatically.

The app's interface is Arabic, and it is built for Arabic-speaking offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt and 17 other Arab countries.

How does the office pantry app work?

  1. The office boy creates the company's pantry in a few minutes. He gets a 4-digit company code and a starter menu of common drinks and snacks with photos, then edits prices and items.
  2. Employees join with the code, an invite link on WhatsApp, or a QR code printed next to the pantry. The office boy approves each one.
  3. Employees order from the menu on their phones, with a note such as "less sugar". The app remembers the last note for each item.
  4. The office boy receives the order with a sound alert, delivers it and taps "delivered" — or rejects it with a reason.
  5. The wallet does the accounting. Each delivered order is deducted from the employee's balance. Employees see their balance and every transaction.
